El spot que introduce los dos últimos capítulos de la quinta temporada pasará a la historia a pesar de sus escasos segundos. Se trata de un live action que cuenta con nada menos que Christopher Lloyd para encarnar a Rick Sánchez. La principal inspiración de Justin Roiland y Dan Harmon para crear al personaje que de algún modo da sentido al cierre de esta última etapa.

El 3 de septiembre, la cuenta oficial de Twitter de Adult Swim, el bloque de programación nocturna de Warner Media y Cartoon Network responsable de la difusiónd e Rick y Morty, hizo público el clip de 14 segundos con el live action más esperado de la serie.
Haciendo alusión a la historia de fondo del programa en que el universo se divide en infinitas dimensiones, cada una con su Rick y Morty particular, el spot presenta a los protagonistas de la dimensión C-132, de acuerdo a la misma publicación. No hace falta más que una característica flatulencia del científico y un angustioso «Aw jeez!» de Morty, tras atravesar un portal interdimensional, para contentar a la audiencia con el mejor casting previsto para tal escena.
Resulta que la primera inspiración para el personaje principal de la siere, por parte de sus creadores, fue el mismo Christopher Lloyd traído evidentemente de su papel de Doc en Regreso al Fururo, principal referencia inequívoca.
La interpretación de Morty corre a cargo de Jaeden Martell, conocido principalmente por su participación en It y It: Chapter 2 como Bill Denbrough.
El clip se viralizó poco antes de la emisión de los dos últimos capítulos de la quinta temporada de la serie, tras un descanso durante el mes de agosto.
